Day 113 Name Justice Merrick Garland Independent Prosecutor NOT FBI director as Lee(R) wants-

anyone can see through this offer of Lee's to name Garland to the FBI, which would mean Garland would resign his lifetime position as Justice on the court directly beneath the SCOTUS (and Garland as Chief Justice is the #10 most important justice

whereas naming Garland as Independent (Special) Prosecutor would be done in tandem, and afterwards, Garland would return to the court

swift that a Republican wants Garland to quit the court, so they could name another judge.

Does Lee think Democratic party folks are stupid, or that Justice Garland is?

Imagine, Republicans stole his seat for SCOTUS, and want to steal his seat as the 10th most important judge
in the nation. Boggles the mind

(and of course, Trump could fire the new FBI director after his seat on the court is filled, how quaint.)

Americans nationwide should fire every single Republican in the house and 1/3 the Senate IMHO in 2018

(Remember the hero Martha Mitchell was.)

oh and the fear in Trump's eyes now...closing in, closer and closer and closer

tick tock
tick tock

and it is quite evident, Pence was in on it from the git-go too
Will Pence go first like Agnew did?
Will Chris Christie be the new VP if he can pass confirmation?

Tick Tock
Tick Tock

Watergate Redux
Who will be the goldwater who goes in and tells Trump, it is time to leave.

Donald Richard Nixon Trump
Richard Donald Trump Nixon

oh what a tangled web we weave, when Donald Trump practiced to deceive

It is time to name the Honorable Justice Merrick Garland as the Independent Prosecutor

Impeachment clock is that much closer

The Honorable Sally Yates for Vice President 2020

Day 106- Trump loses bigly again. Donald Richard Nixon Trump is still bigly LOSING!!!

What repeal?
It was a meaningless house vote

the senate already said the house vote was DOA and that they will take their sweet time in writing a new bill
(they already have taken 8 years, and have nothing to show that can get 51 or 60 votes.)

If they go for the 51 method, they cannot deal in 2/3 of the items the Republicans were promised as they don't apply anyhow).

and Mitch said it might be the end of the year at the earliest

So it was all a phony show (of course)

and the Republicans in the house will have to answer for their vote...
there are at least 20 of whom came from districts Hillary won bigly

Day 104 Can I bring litigation for being disenfranchised from voting for President Obama in 2016?

It defies the belief that one cannot vote for the person of ones choosing
as I was not allowed to vote (and have the vote counted for) President Obama in 2016
(and 2020, and every four years after for the next 1000 years if I am still here and wish to do so).

In a land of free elections, and with precedence of FDR having run and won 4 landslides, it is an artificial
man-made blockade (a wall to coin a phrase) that I can not.

As there are so many frivolous lawsuits these days, this would seem to be a real one

as I have standing as I personally was unable
(as I was not allowed to have my vote for whom I wanted, if I wanted it to actually count).

and preventing someone from working seems unconsittutional, doesn't it?

I bet if it came to be, it would be ruled unconstitutional to have an artificial preventing of someone wanting to run

Let the voters decide.

After all, back in the day, Presidents were quite old for the most part.

(Interesting too is that Eisenhower, Reagan, Clinton and Obama all would easily have won 3rd terms
(regardless the bad health of Ike and Ronnie).

Day 102 Winners and Losers of the Spending Deal (Spoiler Alert: Trump Lost Bigly)

Loser: President Trump
Winner: Congressional Democrats (edit to add-Thank you John Lewis, Elizabeth Warren, Elijah Cummings, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and Joe Manchin)

Consigned to the minority and still processing their grief over the presidential election, Democrats in Congress entered this year in a fairly bleak state. But spending measures are one area where they can still exert considerable influence even while in the minority.

Democrats emerged from the spending talks with a respectable list of victories, including providing funds for Puerto Rico’s Medicaid program as well as for costs incurred by local law enforcement — like the New York Police Department — to protect Mr. Trump and his family. But even more significantly, the Democrats were able to push back on Mr. Trump.

Loser: Border wall builders
Winner: Coal miners
Winner: Planned Parenthood

DC trip- National Musuem of African American History, Climate protest/ Dr King Lincoln Day101

Just back from Washington DC this weekend- to all who agree with me-
I sincerely recommend going to see the new National Musuem of African-American History
Tickets are free, but have to be obtained on-line many months in advance and are sold out quickly

Spent the early morning at Dr. King's memorial, President Lincoln's memorial
Spent 1/2 the day at the museum Saturday
Spent a few hours at the Women's/Children Climate protest

At least 3 hours or more are needed at the Musuem.

and in the evening, just by luck re-watched on tv, Judgement at Nuremberg, about the Nuremberg Trials
after the Holocaust
the movie starring Spencer Tracy, Monty Clift, Max Schell, Richard Widmark, Judy Garland, Marlene Dietrich and many others

the museum brings out many valuable points
brought tears to my eyes at many points (and to the eyes of many other visitors).

The Honorable John Lewis is featured in a display at the museum.
One of the true icons in American History.

the official website

I have been to the Civil Rights Musuem in Memphis (which I also recommend) but to have this in DC
on the Great Mall, with all the history around.

The lower floors go in chronological order (C1 C2 C3 are the floors dealing in history and the Civil Rights Movement in much detail
the upper floors deal with sports movies tv singers broadway culture

It is deplorable that the fights long ago won have to be refought.
Really deplorable.

and note- I have been to hundreds/thousands of events that needed advance tickets, this museum was the single hardest ticket to obtain. We went to DC because of the museum, the protest was joined spur of the moment.
