Ingraham is getting "schooled" in the new rhetoric.

She was born in 1963 folks. These high school kids get social media better than she does. It's rhetoric on steroids. She's overmatched.

CNN: North Korea's Kim Jong Un met Xi Jinping on surprise visit to China

Beijing (CNN) North Korea leader Kim Jong Un made a surprise trip to Beijing, Chinese state media confirmed Wednesday.

Images broadcast on Chinese state television CCTV showed Kim and his wife, Ri Sol Ju, meeting with officials during the trip. It took place from March 25 to 28.

The trip is Kim's first abroad since he took the reins after his father, Kim Jong Il, died in late 2011. China is a traditional ally and major trading partner for North Korea.

The young North Korean leader held talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping and a handful of his deputies, including Li Keqiang, the Chinese premier, and Wang Qishan, the Chinese vice president who is considered one of Xi's closest confidantes, according to China's state-run Xinhua news agency.

Wonder what that means. I wonder if this isn't what China wanted all along.

Google challenge: Find an image of Devin Nunes where he looks likable.

Good luck!

I've tried. He has a couple of images where he is "smiling." Those are (there must be a better word than "creepy") creepy.

Kids are finding out early about the "Nasty Republicans Association"

I don't think I've ever heard or seen young people so on the mark and so pissed about a political issue before. They've discovered what the NRA really is. It used to be the National Rifle Association. Now it's a gun industry lobbying consortium run by the nastiest of nasty Republicans. Its other name is therefore the Nasty Republicans Association.

This isn't going away this time. The Republicans are going to have to disavow the NRA to stay viable. The NRA is going to have to disappoint its "juvenile war toy" members to stay viable too. WLP is going to have to find his rock and crawl back under it.

Republican conundrum: Voter ID laws may prevent Russian infiltrators voting for Republicans

Sure, Republicans can try to limit non-ID voting to those with Russian accents, but those are easy to fake. An old black American war veteran who forgot their ID might sneak past the Republican voting checkpoint.

I was a kid when Nixon was going down.

Can anyone remember if it was like it is now with Trump? It looks like he is cornered.

I do remember "trapping" a barn rat in a small 3x5 foot grain bin in my grandfather's barn and going after him with a stick. It didn't end well for the rat, but let's just say the rat didn't cooperate. It was anything but cooperative. The rat didn't have a bunch of other rats trying to help it though.

From memory, I can't recall if Nixon had other rats trying to help him. Trump has quite a few already. It doesn't seem like Nixon did.

NRA absolutist followers of Republicanism who support AR-15s aren't "gun nuts."

They wish. If they were nuts, they wouldn't be culpable.

The truth is that dolling a semiautomatic rifle up to make it look "bad ass" and putting big magazines on it to make it even more "bad ass" is, well, pathetic. These guys are not "gun nuts." They are "gun pathetics." All people are welcomed to judge them as such.

On edit: They are also ruining the term "bad ass" by trying to associate themselves with it.

Trumps lawyer calls on Justice Department to immediately end Russia probe

President Trump’s lawyer called on the Justice Department to immediately shut down the special counsel probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election, in the wake of the firing of FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.

Attorney John Dowd said in a statement that the investigation, now led by special counsel Robert S. Mueller III, was fatally flawed early on and “corrupted” by political bias. He called on Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein, who oversees that probe, to shut it down.

“I pray that Acting Attorney General Rosenstein will follow the brilliant and courageous example of the FBI Office of Professional Responsibility and Attorney General Jeff Sessions and bring an end to alleged Russia Collusion investigation manufactured by McCabe’s boss James Comey based upon a fraudulent and corrupt Dossier,” Dowd said in an emailed statement.

Dowd told The Washington Post on Saturday he was speaking for himself and not on Trump’s behalf. Earlier Saturday, Dowd told the Daily Beast that he was speaking on behalf of the president and in his capacity as the president’s attorney. (After the Daily Beast published its story, Dowd emailed the publication and said he was not speaking on the president’s behalf.)

In my take, it looks like Dowd is essentially admitting Trump will be impeached if the Mueller investigation continues. This "personal announcement" by Dowd is the flare going up. What the Trump team is really "praying" is that Republican media and Congress members will start echoing the call to scuttle the Mueller investigation before it gets Trump.

What's the awesome right wing forum site that's so much better than DU?

Followers of Republicanism are always posting things from DU that they think are so terrible. How come no one ever posts something from XYZ right wing forum site that is so great?

Another thing Stormy Daniels does is confirm Trump frequents sex workers.

I'm not sure we had it on record that that Trump "literally pays for it," but the fact that he apparently had sex with Daniels takes us closer to the dossier's Russian prostitute territory. I find it hard to believe Trump would be that stupid, but less hard to believe than I did before the Stormy Daniels scandal.
