Voter Photo ID Law Status: ID Currently Required for Voting in November

The photo ID requirement established as part of 2011 Act 23 will be in effect for the November 2014 General Election following an order from the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago and the Wisconsin Supreme Court found the law to be constitutional.

New Free State ID Card Policy for People without Birth Certificates

The Wisconsin Division of Motor Vehicles has a new policy starting September 15, 2014 to help people who need a free state ID card for voting.

A friend of mines doctor has joined this network.

If he would like to keep his doctor it will cost him a little bit north of $3000 just to become a member.

What do you make of this? This is not a dig on ACA, just curious what other think.

Whilst we all enjoy and perhaps take for granted the liberties we have, as evidenced by the at times lively, in search of a better term, discussions here, I would ask that we all take a moment today on the anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre to consider what we have.

Something as simple as gathering to recognize those that were killed that day is still not allowed in China, and the government there actively suppresses discussion of this event through internet censorship 25 years after the fact.
