A simple solution to fund the wall

There are currently 380,000 "non-essential" employees furloughed.

Since they are "non-essential", get rid of them altogether.

The average federal employee salary is about $84,000. In slightly over two months, you would have saved $5.6 billion that could be used for the wall.

That's a conservative estimate. The $84k figure is just their base salary. Once you account for benefits and other expenses, the average federal employee costs the taxpayer $115k.
