Is it time to unify the Olympics?

With barriers continuing to fall throughout the world is it time to remove one of the last vestiges of exclusionary male privilege: Men competing in sporting events separate from women.

Why Is This Hardcore Conservative Not #NeverTrump? Because Hillary Is So Much Worse

Hillary absolutely will nominate Supreme Court justices who will gut the First and Second Amendments and treat the Commerce Clause like one of Bill’s interns. Trump has provided a list of potential nominees who won’t, and he might choose Justice Scalia’s replacement from among them. Advantage Trump.

Some say that Donald Trump is an “authoritarian.” But Trump cares nothing about what I do personally. Hillary, on the other hand, cares deeply about what I do personally because she's a totalitarian. She wants to control what I think, feel, and do, and even what bathroom I want to do it in. Trump may have shrugged his shoulders at the idea of transgender potties, but that's not the kind of idea that he would ever come up with. He doesn’t care. However, it's exactly the kind of obnoxious, intrusive idea libfascists like Hillary come up with. Trump just wants to sit around being rich and famous. Hillary wants to improve people like me and forcibly morph us into her neutered vision of the new socialist beta male she's been dreaming of since she was an embittered last call five at Wellesley.

Trump may be kind of thuggish, but he'll leave me alone. Hillary's going to come looking for me, and she’s foolish and clueless enough to push and push until we normals get tired of it and start to push back. I, for one, prefer my country not to be sucked into a second civil war because some former president’s angry wife is playing out a freakish psychodrama revenge fantasy against all the guys who have rejected her, from her father to Bill to those of us male-identifying men who laugh at her cankles. Advantage Trump.

And once in power, who would be checked and balanced? The whole Democratic Party plus all their media pals would be out to lasso Trump Gone Wild. So would the Deep State – the bureaucracy would be eager to passively egress The Donald should he overstep. And they would likely be joined by establishment Republicans who think that fighting liberals “is not who we are.” Should he give them cause, they would impeach Trump in a heartbeat. So even assuming Trump wanted to be a dictator – frankly, a pretty silly notion – he couldn’t be one.

But Hillary has an entire party and a cultural apparatus behind her that actually believes in the progressive fascism that she adores. Stop her? These Alinskyite apparatchiks will be cheering her on. And do you think the GOP establishment is going to suddenly grow a set of those things Hillary hates and fight? Yeah, right. She could sacrifice a toddler to Baal in Lafayette Park and not be impeached. Hillary would have the eager support of Democratic fellow travelers, liberal judges, the left wing bureaucracy, a corrupt media and Hollywood, all of them encouraging this dumb, vindictive shrew to put a “her” in Führer.

And anyone who thinks this is overblown need only look at the Hillions on DU. They have long ago abandoned denying Cankles did anything wrong or broke the law and now resort to clucking triumphantly that she will never be prosecuted. In other words, they are proud of her lawlessness. They openly boast of shutting down the Bern-outs with Skinner's impending ban on debate. Everything they claim to resent in Bush they count as a resume enhancer for Cankles.

These are nasty little fascists and they are willing to do anything for power.

How much would you pay someone to empty your waste basket?

Keep in mind the dumpster is only 20 yards away from where you park.

Do you believe in

So where do all the greedy and mean people go?

I keep seeing a lot of posts talking about how we need socialism to counter the greedy impulses of a few that will be big meanie-heads and keep all the money for themselves and not pay for other people's housing, education, food, healthcare, retirement, vacation, internet, children and birth control.

Once we have socialism, we're told, the ability to accrue obscene amounts of wealth will be eliminated.

But what becomes of all the greedy and mean people? Do they just suddenly disappear? Do they have a moral epiphany and become altruists?

Or will they channel their greedy and mean impulses into the one remaining venue for the control of resources and other people? The one venue that, by socialism's very nature cannot be challenged...

If illegals fought for their home nations at home as much as they fought for them in the US

their home nations wouldn't be the raging shit holes they are today and thus the fighters wouldn't have left to be here in the US.

Go wave your Mexican flag in Mexico, if your so fucking proud of that cesspool you snuck out of.

Why do so many DUers resent having DU discussed outside of DU?

A lot of times when a particular thread or poster are discussed there follows a barrage of -

"They don't represent liberals!"

"Who cares?"

or my personal favorite -

First, I don't know how DU doesn't represent liberals because a lot of liberals sure spend a lot of time there and are invested in making sure all non-liberals are held fiercely at bay.

Second, those who shout "Who cares?" certainly seem to care because they make a point of running to every thread about DU that crosses their vision in order to shout "Who cares?"

It seems as if they're embarrassed by the antics of their brethren and don't want others paying attention - which brings me to my third point -

The idiots at DU that bring us so much mirth and amusement post what they post because they think it is The Most Profound Thing Ever! You would think that if they say something they must believe in their heart of hearts that what they say is the truth of the universe itself. No harm in that, we all think that way, but only liberals are embarrassed to have such things repeated outside their protective hive.

If I post, "Yay capitalism and personal liberty!" I for one have no problems with you repeating my words as far and wide as your efforts can carry them. Feel free to even use my name.

But not these mongrels.

Apparently repeating what they say constitutes stalking. How dare you quote them verbatim, at-length and in context! Nothing could be worse - to them.

That seems to say they are embarrassed by what they say, as if they know no reasonable person would agree to their idiocy.

Which leaves their sincerity in doubt.

If they doubt their own words and only want them heard inside the hive among the sympathetic mob that leaves me to think the entire thing is nothing more than a mob seeking its own power agenda.

I can certainly see why they wouldn't want THAT discussed outside safe confines.

It's just a mob. Mobs can do damage but they can't govern and they certainly aren't sustainable even - especially - if they prevail.

Carry on.

Trump has telepathic powers

He rooted for people to default on mortgages so - by the power of his mind alone - he was able to make people default on their mortgages.

No, really. You WILL vote Trump in 2016.

Open season on illegals?

In addition to being outlaws by virtue of their presence they also appear to want to assault the institutions of the nation they're in while waving foreign flags.

Since they reject everything about this nation for their own ends perhaps it is time to declare open season on their property and persons.

What are they going to do about it? Run to the authorities of the nation they illegally occupy whose police they attack and explicitly disrespect?

DU grieves at news Dem establishment is working against single payer

Establishment Dems Fight to Defeat 'Medicare-for-All' in Colorado

Highlighting the divisions in the Democratic party this election, Colorado's ballot measure for a universal, single-payer healthcare plan is facing unexpected resistance from the very same party that has been calling for such a healthcare plan since the 1990s.

"There is a disconnect between the powers that be and the people," said state senator Irene Aguilar, a former doctor and the chief architect of the statewide 'Medicare-for-all,' called ColoradoCare, in an interview with the Guardian. "The powers that be are incrementalists. There hasn't been a courage of conviction to try and deal with ."

Clinton's campaign is directly linked to Coloradans for Coloradans, the most prominent organization opposing ColoradoCare. Formed solely to defeat the measure, Coloradans for Coloradans is being funded by the very same consultant firm currently working for the Clinton super PAC Priorities USA, as Lee Fang reported in the Intercept.

While a stance for the ACA and against single payer is the least popular with the public, it is the most popular within a certain sector of the population: pharmaceutical and healthcare companies.

Indeed, in Colorado the "anti-single-payer effort is funded almost entirely by health care industry interests," Fang reported, "including $500,000 from Anthem Inc., the state’s largest health insurance provider; $40,000 from Cigna, another large health insurer that is current in talks to merge with Anthem; $75,000 from Davita, the dialysis company; $25,000 from Delta Dental, the largest dental insurer in the state; and $100,000 from SCL Health, the faith-based hospital chain."

The sense of betrayal and despair in that thread is...
