I'm re-posting a gif that received a 7-0 vote to hide

Not to be inflammatory but to look deeper behind the image.

This is the image -

The original poster was having a laugh about the image saying it would solve the problem. Although I don't have a problem with crass remarks - I make plenty myself - I think he failed to look deep enough into the image to see what it represents. Still, I gotta kinda say I understand why he received the hide and he gets no sympathy from me.

But the image struck me as having a certain profundity in its own right.

I don't know what movie it comes from but it obviously comes from a movie and I'll hazard a guess it comes from a comedy aimed at "urban" audiences such as Soul Plane.

What the above image says to me is: The writer, director, producer and the actors themselves recognize the absurdity of gang warfare. Look a the framing of the image -

It shows young men lining up in columns that stretch off-camera even though its a wide shot then, one by one, they shoot each other falling into the same grave

(It reminds me of the ancient Roman grave that reads, "As you are now, I once was. As I am now, you will be.")

So, even though we all meet the same mortal end they're still killing each other over nothing more than the color of their fashion accessories.

It's a fucking tragedy, is what it is.

But it's being recognized and - more importantly - ridiculed for the tragedy that it is.

That makes it a good image...

...a damn good image...

...when viewed in its proper, intended context.

Since Hillary is running on optimism instead of Trump's campaign of fear and division...

Does that mean we can disregard all future cries of

Climate change!

White Privilege!

Income inequality!

Police brutality!

Oh. Our little Hillary

It starts with the incessant humiliation of being Bill's wife.

I'm sure they've both come to acknowledge theirs is a loveless marriage of political necessity but there had to be moments where she resented him rubbing her abject failures as a woman in her face before the nation.

Trailer park skanks?

Moon-eyed chubby interns?

These were the outlets Bill chose rather than sidling up next to his wife.

And she knows it.

And the nation knows it.

And she knows the nation knows it and the fact the nation looks at her askance for it.

But hey. Just plod through another day with another humiliation and you get...

...what exactly?

Oh. That's right. You get to be FLOTUS for 8 years on the arm of this cretin. Just bide your time and then you can get to be a senator of a state.

To buff your credentials for president.

Oh. No. Wait.

A black guy is running for president. Nope. Sorry. He gets to go before you because

Tell you what. You can be Secretary of State as a consolation prize. Not the kind of secretary that's the sexy kind that men desire but the diplomatic kind. You know, the kind that is sort of the federal equivalent of Miss Congeniality, when you think of it.

So you go out there with your mistranslated buttons and the theme song from Mary Tyler Moore playing in your iPod and proceed to spend 6 years squabbling over emails and dead ambassadors.

You want to blame on sexism but they were falling all over themselves for Sarah Palin!

It was probably her goddam perky tits!

Now she gets to spend every resource and risk every dirty trick just to hold even with a fucking carnival barker - and she's the bearded lady he's barking about!

Who also gets to bed a lot of really hot women.

Better than the ones Bill could get...

...which he still chose over her.

Poor Hillary. Always taking the backseat to men who have never liked her, let alone respected her.

I wonder how she would fare against Putin or a bunch of misogynistic Muslims?

The demonstrated vulnerability to foreign hackers sure makes a good case for

paper ballots and voter ID.

Angry mourners confront Muslims who chant 'Allahu Akbar' at Munich shooting memorial

Angry mourners confront Muslims who chant 'Allahu Akbar' at Munich shooting memorial

The video exposes the tensions running high throughout the country as both Germany and France have been hit by several attacks in recent weeks.

During the incident, a group of Muslim men arrived at the memorial and disrupted silent mourners who had gathered together at the scene to pay their respects to the dead.

They repeatedly chanted “Allahu Akbar!", an Islamic phrase that translates to “God is the greatest.”

The Italian news outlet Il Fatto Quotidiano released the footage of the confrontation which took place on Sunday evening.

Then there was this -

At the end of the video, the police form a line between the two sides to prevent any escalation or physical violence.

Too little too late.

SIRODU: Arrest Trump for violating the Logan Act!

Benedict Donald is in violation of the Logan Act

The short version: In US law is the Logan Act, which forbids unauthorized private individuals from negotiating with adversarial foreign powers that are in dispute with the U.S. It’s intended to keep individuals from undermining the U.S. government’s position. It reads as follows:

§ 953. Private correspondence with foreign governments.

Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

This section shall not abridge the right of a citizen to apply himself, or his agent, to any foreign government, or the agents thereof, for redress of any injury which he may have sustained from such government or any of its agents or subjects.
1 Stat. 613, January 30, 1799, codified at 18 U.S.C. § 953 (2004).

So what was America’s least experienced major party presidential nominee doing when he asked Russia to sic its hackers on the emails of a high-ranking American government official? Hmmm.

Former Obama mentor: Trump's Russian hack 'jokes' could 'constitute treason'

07/28/16 01:45 PM EDT
For Harvard law professor Laurence Tribe, not only do Donald “Trump's "jokes" about Russia amount to "inviting an adversary to wage cyberwar against the U.S.," but they also "appear to violate the Logan Act and might even constitute treason,” he tweeted Thursday.

The latest tweet from the liberal legal giant whose name has been floated as a Supreme Court pick comes after Trump and his campaign brushed aside the backlash over his remark. The Republican nominee himself telling Fox News that he was "being sarcastic."

“Imagine what our 1st president would've said about a candidate inviting a foreign power to intrude into a US election for the 45th president,” Tribe previously tweeted Wednesday, adding that he “must have been hallucinating” at hearing Trump’s calls for Russian hackers to infiltrate Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s emails.

"Several staff members have already been asked to prepare statements about their departures."

Last week’s WikiLeaks dump, releasing thousands of emails showing DNC officials sparring with Bernie Sanders supporters and with one another, was what finally got Hillary Clinton’s top aides to force her out Sunday on the eve of the convention.

Now, all DNC senior staffers seem to believe they’re on the verge of being fired — and that’s before the next WikiLeaks release, which many fear is coming within days, and which DNC lawyers are bracing for. Several staff members have already been asked to prepare statements about their departures.

Staff members were briefed in a Tuesday afternoon meeting in Washington that their personal data was part of the hack, as were Social Security numbers and other information for donors, according to people who attended. Don’t search WikiLeaks, they were told — malware is embedded throughout the site, and they’re looking for more data.

SIRODU: Sign my WH petition to have Trump charged with treason!

More admissions that the content of Lizardly Clinton's emails jeopardize national security.

Charge traitor trump with treason

I just started a petition on the White House petitions site, We the People. Will you sign it?

Charge Donald Trump with treason for telling a foreign government to commit espionage against the U.S.

Considering the financial ties Donald Trump has with Russia, his candidacy for President is questionable at best. Now with the latest declaration that Russia should spy on the United States, he has gone beyond any doubt into treasonous territory. Charges of treason should be brought forth immediately.

Lizardly Clinton

let's return to the fact that Bill needed to humanize Hillary Clinton. The woman has been in public life for three decades and the highest best use of her former president husband is to spend an entire convention speech trying to convince voters that she's human.
