Coincidence or awesome joke?

There's a jeep parked outside with 2 bumper stickers. The first is -

Right next to a bumper stick declaring -

BUSH 2016!

Desmond Doss

I'll have my young Medics watch this trailer and then read them the Medal of Honor citation for Desmond Doss:

Rank and organization: Private First Class, U.S. Army, Medical Detachment, 307th Infantry, 77th Infantry Division.

Place and date: Near Urasoe Mura, Okinawa, Ryukyu Islands, 29 April-21 May 1945.

Entered service at: Lynchburg, Va.

Birth: Lynchburg, Va. G.O. No.: 97, 1 November 1945.

Citation: He was a company aid man when the 1st Battalion assaulted a jagged escarpment 400 feet high As our troops gained the summit, a heavy concentration of artillery, mortar and machinegun fire crashed into them, inflicting approximately 75 casualties and driving the others back. Pfc. Doss refused to seek cover and remained in the fire-swept area with the many stricken, carrying them 1 by 1 to the edge of the escarpment and there lowering them on a rope-supported litter down the face of a cliff to friendly hands. On 2 May, he exposed himself to heavy rifle and mortar fire in rescuing a wounded man 200 yards forward of the lines on the same escarpment; and 2 days later he treated 4 men who had been cut down while assaulting a strongly defended cave, advancing through a shower of grenades to within 8 yards of enemy forces in a cave's mouth, where he dressed his comrades' wounds before making 4 separate trips under fire to evacuate them to safety. On 5 May, he unhesitatingly braved enemy shelling and small arms fire to assist an artillery officer. He applied bandages, moved his patient to a spot that offered protection from small arms fire and, while artillery and mortar shells fell close by, painstakingly administered plasma. Later that day, when an American was severely wounded by fire from a cave, Pfc. Doss crawled to him where he had fallen 25 feet from the enemy position, rendered aid, and carried him 100 yards to safety while continually exposed to enemy fire. On 21 May, in a night attack on high ground near Shuri, he remained in exposed territory while the rest of his company took cover, fearlessly risking the chance that he would be mistaken for an infiltrating Japanese and giving aid to the injured until he was himself seriously wounded in the legs by the explosion of a grenade. Rather than call another aid man from cover, he cared for his own injuries and waited 5 hours before litter bearers reached him and started carrying him to cover. The trio was caught in an enemy tank attack and Pfc. Doss, seeing a more critically wounded man nearby, crawled off the litter; and directed the bearers to give their first attention to the other man. Awaiting the litter bearers' return, he was again struck, this time suffering a compound fracture of 1 arm. With magnificent fortitude he bound a rifle stock to his shattered arm as a splint and then crawled 300 yards over rough terrain to the aid station. Through his outstanding bravery and unflinching determination in the face of desperately dangerous conditions Pfc. Doss saved the lives of many soldiers. His name became a symbol throughout the 77th Infantry Division for outstanding gallantry far above and beyond the call of duty.

Some people just makes us look like pale shades of what a real human being was meant to be.

How will (Only) Black Lives Matter achieve its independent black political structure?

Point #6 of the (O)BLM list of objectives states -

Independent black political power and black self-determination in all areas of society.

I'm curious to know what that is supposed to look like.

Will there be a return to segregation within US society with separate schools, legislature and courts?

Will enclaves be established within US territory such as the reservations for Native Americans?

A secessionist movement where entire states leave the union?

Liberia 2.0?

Something else?

Gay marriage is unbiblical.

"Gay' is another word for "happy" and, having read the bible, I can tell you there is no such thing as a happy marriage in scripture.

Dems, our new uber-patriots, hosted a racist secessionist group at their convention

You remember (Only) Black Lives Matter, don't you?

Yes. How could you not?

Obama has hosted them at the WH on more than 1 occasion and there was a chanting of their name while the mother of dead criminal Michael Brown spoke at the DNC.

Well, (O)BLM just released its list of demands -

1. End the war on black people.

2. Reparations for past and continuing harms.

3. Divestment from the institutions that criminalize, cage and harm black people; and investment in the education, health and safety of black people.

4. Economic justice for all and a reconstruction of the economy to ensure our communities have collective ownership, not merely access.

5. Community control of the laws, institutions and policies that most impact us.

6. Independent black political power and black self-determination in all areas of society.

*record scratch*

Wait. What?

6. Independent black political power and black self-determination in all areas of society.

Independent political power and self-determination is just a fancy way of saying they no longer consider themselves beholden to the authority of the United States.

You know, the authority Obama, Hillary and the Democratic party feel entitled to wield.

Moreover, (O)BLM will demarcate its laws solely on the basis of skin color.

The Dems would have us believe they are the new patriots of America. By gumption they now fear and loathe Russia (no apologies to Mitt Romney, though) and they love US Soldiers (so long as those Soldiers are Muslim; no apologies for Nidal Hasan, though).

But they're hosting a racist, secessionist movement.

What is the amount of reparations owed to African Americans?

Let's set aside who is/is not descended from slaves and who did or did not own slaves.

The underlying assumption of is: Blacks are victimized by the institution of slavery regardless of when or how they came to the US and whites are collectively guilty for not having done more.

That's points can be argued ad nauseam and they will be.

I want to take a different approach.

Let's assume all blacks are due and the US owes. BOOM! Done. End of debate for the sake of discussion.

How much is owed to each and every black person currently living in the US and if that amount were paid the recipient no longer bears any future claim against the US?

Suppose a student is suspended for 50 days and sent to "diversity training" for

having said, "All lives matter."

Then, after attending the training and serving the suspension someone asks the student, "So, what do you think now?"

To wit the student replies, "All lives still matter."

What should be done about this repeating of the original offense?
