Trump Derangement Syndrome claimed another victim after a former executive assistant at NBC decided to “protest” the president by yelling at his animatronic robot doll during a show at Disney World.

The video clip shows Jay Malsky repeatedly screaming “lock him up” at the Trump robot while other audience members, probably concerned about their frightened children, tell him to shut up
One of the audience members informs Malsky that he is literally yelling at a robot, telling him, “He’s not real!”

“I protested @realDonaldTrump at the #hallofpresidents cuz I’ll never get this close in real life probs. #lockhimup,” tweeted Malsky, eliciting a barrage of ridicule.

The President and COO of the Miss America Organization resigned Saturday amid a scandal over vulgar emails

Josh Randle, who became the youngest president in the organization’s history in May, announced he was stepping down — less than 48 hours after a Huffington Post report published emails mostly sent by CEO Sam Haskell that ridiculed past winners’ appearance, intelligence and sex lives.

President Trump, after signing tax cut bill, wishing Americans a merry Christmas...

... and a happy next seven years...

Year One List: 81 major Trump achievements, 11 Obama legacy items repealed

With the passage of the GOP tax bill this week, the Trump administration has scored 81 major achievements in its first year, making good on campaign promises to provide significant tax cuts, boost U.S. energy production, and restore respect to the United States, according to the White House.

And along the way, President Trump even outdid his own expectations and slashed at least 11 major legacy items of former President Barack Obama, including cracking down on the open border, slowing recognition of communist Cuba and effectively killing Obamacare by ending the mandate that everyone have health insurance or face a tax.

Below are the 12 categories and 81 wins cited by the White House.

1. Jobs and the economy

Passage of the tax reform bill providing $5.5 billion in cuts and repealing the Obamacare mandate.
Increase of the GDP above 3 percent.
Creation of 1.7 million new jobs, cutting unemployment to 4.1 percent.
Saw the Dow Jones reach record highs.
A rebound in economic confidence to a 17-year high.
A new executive order to boost apprenticeships.
A move to boost computer sciences in Education Department programs.
Prioritizing women-owned businesses for some $500 million in SBA loans.
Killing job-stifling regulations
Signed an Executive Order demanding that two regulations be killed for every new one creates. He beat that big and cut 16 rules and regulations for every one created, saving $8.1 billion.
Signed 15 congressional regulatory cuts.
Withdrew from the Obama-era Paris Climate Agreement, ending the threat of environmental regulations.
Signed an Executive Order cutting the time for infrastructure permit approvals.
Eliminated an Obama rule on streams that Trump felt unfairly targeted the coal industry.

American optimism on the economy is reaching new heights and President Donald Trump's approval ratings look to be benefiting, at least somewhat.

The CNBC All-American Economic Survey found that for the first time in at least 11 years, more than half of respondents to the survey rated the economy as good or excellent, while a near record 41 percent expected the economy to improve in the next year.

"We're not measuring a marginal change in the economy, we're measuring a different economy,'' said Public Opinion Strategies' Micah Roberts, the Republican pollster for the survey. The poll of 800 adults across the nation, with a margin of error of 3.5 percentage points, was conducted Dec. 10-13 by that firm and Democratic pollster Hart Research.

The survey found that 42 percent of Americans expect their wages to rise in the next year, and 41 percent of homeowners see their home values going up, the highest level recorded since 2007. In 2011, while the country remained in an economic funk from the financial crisis, just 15 percent of homeowners thought their home prices would rise.

President Trump may soon have a 9th Circuit Court position to fill...

9 more women say 9th Circuit Judge Kozinski subjected them to inappropriate behavior

Nine more women say that Alex Kozinski - a high-profile judge who sits on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit - subjected them to sexual comments or other conduct, including four who say he touched them inappropriately.

Kozinski, known for his libertarian views and colorful written opinions, already had been accused of subjecting several women to a range of inappropriate sexual conduct or comments, and the circuit's chief judge on Thursday took the first step in launching an investigation into his behavior. The matter was assigned Friday to the 2nd Circuit judicial council.

The new allegations - which span decades and include not just those who worked for Kozinski but those who encountered him at events - bring the total number of women accusing the judge of inappropriate behavior to at least 15.

One recent law student at the University of Montana said that Kozinski, at a 2016 reception, pressed his finger into the side of her breast, which was covered by her clothes, and moved it with some "deliberateness" to the center, purporting to be pushing aside her lapel to fully see her name tag.

Language Council of Norway says fake news (falske nyheter) is the new Norwegian word of the year

The expression beat other neologisms including ‘Swedish conditions’ (svenske tilstander), 'October child' (oktoberbarn) and ‘purple voter’ (lillavelger) to the award, writes news agency NTB.

“The word is not completely new, but its use has exploded over the last year,” language researcher Ole Våge, a senior advisor to the council, told NTB.

“It is a word that has set the agenda and was given a lot of attention during the 2016 US election, and that attention has continued,” language researcher Bente Karlsnes told broadcaster NRK.

Every year, the recipient of the award is chosen by the Language Council of Norway along with Norwegian School of Economics professor Gisle Andersen. The word can either be completely new, or a modern word that has characterized the year.

“The use of the phrase ‘fake news’ has exploded during the last year, and was the most used new word amongst this year’s candidates. The phrase reflects the fight for truthful news in public debate in a completely new way, both in Norway and elsewhere in the world,” Våge told NTB.
