Another: Deadly blast hits bus carrying Tunisia presidential guards

At least 12 people were killed and a dozen more were wounded on Tuesday in an explosion that targeted a Tunisian military bus carrying presidential guards in the capital Tunis, in what the interior ministry said was a "terrorist attack".

Security and presidential sources said the explosion was an attack, adding that it was likely caused by a bomber detonating explosives inside the bus as it travelled along the tree-lined Mohamed V Avenue.

Interior Ministry spokesman Walid Louguini said that at least 12 people were killed and 16 wounded in what the government considers a "terrorist act".

Reports: Abdelhamid Abaaoud, suspected Paris attacks ringleader, killed in raid

Damn. He could have been useful for information

According to the Washington Post, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, suspected Paris attacks ringleader, has been killed in the overnight raid in Paris. Politico has also reported the news, per confirmation from a Belgian official. The French prosecutor will not release the identities of those killed overnight until further investigations has been conducted.

According to The Associated Press, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the suspected mastermind of the attacks, was believed to be the target of the massive standoff. Police said two suspects died – including a woman who blew herself up, believed to be Abaaoud's cousin – and four officers were injured in the raid, the AP reported. Seven people were arrested, prosecutors said.
CNN reports that DNA tests are being performed to determine if Abaaoud was killed in the raid.

No real commentary here other than to say I was always under the impression that this had never actually happened when we were kids.
