What's for dinner?

Today I took a pork tenderloin roast that I had previously "unrolled", laid in cream and gorgonzola cheese, bacon, garlic, and Coleman's mustard powder, rolled it all back up, vacuum sealed it in a foodsaver bag, and tossed it into the Sous Vide cooker. I'll come back and post photos later on this evening after it's done.

What's anyone else having that's good?

Nemtsov was 55 years old. He was a former deputy prime minister in the Russian government under President Boris Yeltsin. At one point he was considered a likely presidential candidate. After Vladimir Putin became the country's president, Nemtsov actively criticized the administration and its policies.
He was a member of the city council in Yaroslavl, near Moscow, and since 2012 he was co-chair of the Republican Party of Russia — People's Freedom Party (RPR-PARNAS). He was elected several times in the past as a member of the Russian parliament.

We need common sense antler control

I mean, without universal antler background checks, and common sense limits on high point antlers, any nutjob could get their hands on the deadly assault weapons. I can't even think of the potential tragedy if a child were to get their hands on a set of these.

MONONGAHELA, Pa. (AP) — A Washington County man has been jailed on charges he used a set of mounted deer antlers to attack his disabled father.
Arthur Benoit III, of Monongahela, faces a preliminary hearing March 10 on charges including assault and terroristic threats.
The (Washington) Observer-Reporter says police charged Benoit earlier this week for the Feb. 17 incident at the home he shared with his father.
Police say Benoit, 26, became angry when his dad wouldn't get out of bed that morning and broke the older man's wheelchair and cellphone before hitting the man in the legs and head with the antlers.
Online court records don't list an attorney for Benoit. He remained in the Washington County Jail on Friday, unable to post $10,000 bond.

FiFi: the world's only flying B29

Video at the link;

I had a chance to see her fly and tour her about 20 years ago in Atlantic City; a beautiful, magnificent piece of engineering. I was in a mall parking lot when the unmistakable sound of a multi-prop engine made me look up just in time to see her fly over. I drove like a madman to the airport and was met there by a whole carload of elderly gentlemen who happened to have been WW2 B29 crewman together for a reunion. I was in awe, they were in tears. We spoke of them flying raids over Japan. We got a private informal tour of her. They guys were all asking how they could volunteer and get a flight. The current crew took their names down to arrange flight legs for them to deadhead between tour stops.

Obama to ban bullets by executive action, threatens top-selling AR-15 rifle
It’s started.

As promised, President Obama is using executive actions to impose gun control on the nation, targeting the top-selling rifle in the country, the AR-15 style semi-automatic, with a ban on one of the most-used AR bullets by sportsmen and target shooters.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives this month revealed that it is putting the ban on 5.56mm ammo on a fast track, immediately driving up the price of the bullets and prompting retailers, including the huge outdoors company Cabela’s, to urge sportsmen to urge Congress to stop the president.

Barbarian animals!

Islamic State thugs have destroyed a collection of priceless statues and sculptures in Iraq dating back thousands of years.
Extremists used sledgehammers and power drills to smash ancient artwork as they rampaged through a museum in the northern city of Mosul.
Video footage shows a group of bearded men in the Nineveh Museum using tools to wreck 3,000-year-old statues after pushing them over.
One of the items, depicting a winged-bull Assyrian protective deity, dates back to the 9th century B.C...
Yesterday it was revealed how terrorists had blown up the Mosul Public Library, sending 10,000 books and more than 700 rare manuscripts up in flames...
Presumed destroyed are the Central Library's collection of Iraqi newspapers dating to the early 20th century, maps and books from the Ottoman Empire and book collections contributed by around 100 of Mosul's establishment families.

Leave it to the Japanese to develop a wearable robot that feeds you tomatoes.;_ylt=AwrBJR4wJOZUqjIApN7QtDMD

Tugging a tiny lever in the foot moves the arms to catch a tomato from the dispensing shoot. The arms then rotate the fruit over the runner's head and hold it in front of his mouth.

"We used about 100 tomatoes to complete this machine," said Novmichi Tosa, of creator Meiwa Denki, a company known for its off-the-wall devices and musical instruments.
