Something this wrong shouldn't be this good

I was killing time at the grocery store yesterday waiting for a prescription to be filled when I stumbled upon this:

Powdered Peanut Butter

I thought "This is too weird to not try". I have to say it's good. We tried it last night sprinkled on ice cream. Wow! On Strawberry its like an instant PB&J!

Out of control Russian spacecraft plunging back to Earth

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-3060656/Out-control-Russian-spacecraft-plunging-Earth-Official-reveals-unmanned-cargo-craft-started-descending.html

The Russian spacecraft that went rogue yesterday has already begun an unstoppable descent into Earth's atmosphere, experts have claimed.
Roscosmos, the Russian Space Agency, was trying to save the unmanned Progress M-27M spacecraft after a major malfunction caused it to spin out of control.
But an official claimed that the spacecraft had 'nowhere else to go' apart from back into Earth's atmosphere - and an expert told MailOnline: 'It's gone.'

Nasa reported that a video camera on Progress showed it to be spinning at a 'rather significant rate'
Speaking ahead of an official Roscosmos statement expected later today, the source told AFP: 'It has started descending. It has nowhere to go.
'It is clear that absolutely uncontrollable reactions have begun.'
It emerged yesterday that officials were struggling to contact the spacecraft, meaning they could not be sure what the problem was - or how to resolve it.

Common Cause demands Clinton Foundation audit

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/unraveling-liberal-common-cause-demands-clinton-foundation-hillary-audit/article/2563565

The financial issues plaguing Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign have become too much even for liberal groups, and now Common Cause is calling for an independent audit of donations to the Clinton Foundation.

Amid suggestions that foreign governments donated to the foundation in hopes of getting special treatment from President Obama's State Department when Clinton was his top diplomat, the group on Friday said a "thorough review" is needed.

"Six years ago, at Mrs. Clinton's confirmation hearing for her appointment as secretary of state, then-Sen. Dick Lugar observed that 'that foreign governments and entities may perceive the Clinton Foundation as a means to gain favor with the secretary of state.' He was right, and his remarks remain relevant today as Mrs. Clinton seeks the presidency," said Common Cause President Miles Rapoport...

"As Mrs. Clinton herself observed earlier this week, voluntary disclosure is not enough," said Common Cause President Miles Rapoport. "A report in Thursday's New York Times indicates that the Clinton Foundation violated an agreement to identify all of its donors. The foundation's omissions create significant gaps in the information that voters need to make informed decisions at the polls."

To ensure that the audit is complete, Rapoport said the foundation should enter into a contractual agreement with auditors to open its books fully and to make public the complete report of their review.

And to further guard against potential conflicts of interest, the foundation should stop accepting donations from foreign governments and foreign corporations, he said.

"There already is too much 'dark money' in our elections, in the form of spending by supposedly independent nonprofit groups that are not required to disclose their donors and operate as sort of shadow campaigns," Rapoport said. "The Clinton Foundation and any other foundations tied to a candidate or his or her family provide one more way for potential donors to gain access and curry favor from candidates – without the public knowing about it. That lack of transparency creates a clear risk of undue influence and conflicts of interest."

New mass extinction event identified by geologists

http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-32397220

Over the past 450 million years, life on Earth has been devastated by five mass extinction events that are widely recognised by geologists.
Now, an international team of researchers proposes adding a sixth mass extinction to the list.
The team believes it has accumulated sufficient evidence to promote the Capitanian event to the rank of mass extinction.
The extinction occurred approximately 262 million years ago.
Their proposal would elevate the Capitanian, which occurred during the Middle Permian period, to sit alongside the so-called "Big Five" mass extinctions.
The researchers, led by Dr David Bond of the University of Hull, presented their case in the Geological Society of America Bulletin.

Pew first: Gun rights top gun control in major public opinion shift

Exactly two years after President Obama's bid for gun control following the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting died in Congress, a new poll has discovered a huge shift in public opinion to backing Second Amendment gun rights and away from controlling gun ownership.

The reason: Americans now believe having a gun is the best way to protect against crime, 63 percent to 30 percent.

Pew Research Center found that while support for gun control once reached 66 percent, it has dropped to 46 percent while support for gun rights has jumped 52 percent, the highest ever in the past 25 years.

"We are at a moment when most Americans believe crime rates are rising and when most believe gun ownership – not gun control – makes people safer," said the survey.

Why do hungry people like food so much?

I mean, you see them everywhere. They pack the damn restaurants, keeping decent people from getting anything done. There are literally hordes of them every time I go to the grocery store. They like up, like cattle waiting for the slaughter, at every damn drive thru window I see. It's like they are zombies who can't help themselves.

Chuck Schumer backs Senate approval vote on Iran deal

http://www.cnn.com/2015/04/06/politics/schumer-iran-deal/index.html

Washington (CNN)A key Senate Democrat is throwing his weight behind a proposal that would allow Congress to reject the Iran nuclear deal, complicating President Barack Obama's efforts to dodge Republican opposition and lock in the pact on his own.

New York Sen. Chuck Schumer said Monday that he is backing legislation introduced by Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) to give Congress the ability to halt the implementation of the deal once the United States and five other world powers finalize the details in the coming months.

"This is a very serious issue that deserves careful consideration, and I expect to have a classified briefing in the near future. I strongly believe Congress should have the right to disapprove any agreement and I support the Corker bill which would allow that to occur," Schumer told Politico on Monday.
