The puppy is home and he has a name!

This is 8 week old Sagan, after Carl, the Keeshond! He had a grueling 12 1/2 hour ride home Saturday. All 3 of us pretty much laid around and recovered. He was amazingly good on the drive, no problems at all. He settled in almost immediately. The breeder warned us he might be a bit mopey for several days. If this is mopey I'd hate to see rambunctious! He is running around like a chicken with his head cut off and then alternately sleeping the sleep of the truly innocent. It's too soon to allow him outside so I've been working with the pee pad which he took to almost instantly.

The ride home:

Beautiful morning here in Louisville

On our way to pick up the puppy! We'll be in southern Tennessee later today. We'll be stocking up on Bourbon before we leave town.

Vehicle servicing question

We just bought a new (to us) 2012 Nissan Xterra Pro 4-X two weeks ago. It's in essentially showroom condition except for one thing. The wheels are somewhat corroded. It looks like the plastic coating on the aluminum got chipped at some point and winter salt, etc infiltrated under. They are structurally fine, they just look lousy.

I'm thinking about replacing them. The question I have is if I do that do I need to replace the TPMS sensors at the same time?

Week 7 for the pup. Next week at this time he will be home!

He is utterly adorable. From the other photos I have he looks to be more interested in people than other dogs, which is fine by us. He may be a little shy, so I think I'll have to work a bit building his confidence.

Blackout chaos in England. Large swaths including London down

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7342081/Major-power-cuts-UK-hit-airports-traffic-lights-trains.html

Major power cuts have struck across the UK with homes, airports, traffic lights and trains all without electricity.

The blackouts have plunged large swathes of the UK into chaos, including London and the South East, as well as the Midlands and the North West.

In London, commuters were plunged into darkness on the Victoria Line while at Luton Airport passengers have been left waiting on planes.

Elsewhere in Derbyshire, homes have been left entirely without power with one resident telling MailOnline of burglar alarms going off and police sirens in the area.

Cities including Cambridge, Peterborough and Dover have all been affected.

Police have been drafted in to deal with the outages, which have stopped traffic lights in areas including London, Manchester and Gateshead, near Newcastle.

UK Power Networks, who control power lines for London and the South East, and Western Power Distribution in Midlands, the South West and Wales both confirmed widespread outages.
