A prediction and a guarantee:

First, the prediction ... President Obama will not use his upcoming visit to Hiroshima to apologize for America's use of the atomic bomb.
Second, the guarantee ... Conservatives will still claim that he did exactly that.

Take it to the bank.

The Tao of Trump ...

Did America ever stop being great?

I don't believe we did.

Trump takes a victory lap. Meanwhile, back at the RNC:

Who fared better after Carly Fiorina came aboard: HP or Ted Cruz?

The American Family Association is sending men ...

into women's bathrooms, hoping to provoke a response. Their spokesperson openly admits to having men harass women in Target restrooms. Yup, they are so fearful of the trauma that women and girls might undergo by sharing a bathroom with a trans man, that they are intentionally attempting to inflict it.

"But rather than take a moment of reflection and realize that what’s really at work here is regular old transphobia and fear-mongering being used to hit back at the LGBT community for having scored a number of recent victories at the state and federal level, conservatives are trying to invent the problem to justify their barbaric solution. For an obvious example, look no further than designated hate group American Family Association, whose director of governmental affairs, Sandy Rios, just admitted that her organization has been sending men into women’s bathrooms at Target in the hopes of eliciting a reaction.

Why Target? The store recently outraged Republicans by publicly standing with the LGBT community and saying its customers can use whichever bathroom they feel most comfortable with. This set in motion the usual calls for boycotts, the usual right-wing smears, and now this… a movement to harass women in Target bathrooms so they are scared enough to demand the policy change.

“I think there’s no question that when you say that there are no barriers in the bathroom,” Rios said, “and that if men or women feel like they are men or women, the opposition of however they are equipped, and you have no restrictions, the net effect will be that people will not be stopped. We’ve already had people testing this, going into Targets and men trying to go into bathrooms. There is absolutely no barrier.”

“And so the chief concern,” she continued, “even more than just, I think, trauma, certainly for little girls of having men dressed like women coming in their bathrooms, the chief concern of the American Family Association is the predators who will take advantage.”

Ladies, do NOT get drunk and pass out in Oklahoma.

If you do, any random jackass who comes along and feels like inserting his junk into your mouth is not guilty of oral sodomy or rape. That is some fucked up shit right there.

And now I eagerly await the arrival of one of our resident conservative scholars to explain how this sorry state of affairs, in arguably the reddest state in the union, is actually the fault of those evil bastard lefties.

Does anyone else complete their jury service, only to ...

come back later and be told that they are still serving on a jury and must complete their service prior to posting again?
I finish my jury service, click the complete jury service button, and hit the return to latest threads (or whatever the Hell it says, I don't remember).
But about half of the time I have to click the cancel my jury service button for a post which I've already adjudicated, and the results have been posted.
Is it just me?

Don't sugar coat it Mr. Boehner. Tell us what you REALLY think of Ted Cruz.

“Lucifer in the flesh. I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life.”

— Former House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), quoted by the Stanford Daily, on Sen. Ted Cruz.

Do you have young sons? If so, who would you prefer to simultaneously ...

occupy a men's room with them?

This guy?

Or Larry Craig?

Or Denny Hastert?

(Hint: In North Carolina, the dude in the picture is the only one forbidden to use the same crapper as junior.)
So, what'll it be?
