Happy Sunday!

He is the light...........................

The wheels are falling off the progressive car.

Fuck this place(Not the Bernie Group). DU is taking the life out of me. I just don't understand why
it's so hard to get people to want to take the power back. Studies have shown that we have lost it to rich and powerful interests. There is no denying the phenomenon exists. Why do they celebrate that? Why do they reject our attempts to democratically rebalance the scales? I have never felt so dejected as I do when I read the No Hope, No Change party posts. I'm at my whits end.

The hatred I see here every day is literally making me sick and changing my personality and I can't believe we're all supposed to be on the same side.

Everybody hates everybody else and I'm sick of it. Raw. Unabashed. Hatred.

And every single one of you loved Bernie when he voted and caucused with Dems and when he did that filibuster. Now you talk like hes a piece shit and I can't take the hypocrisy anymore!

Y'all have at it. I don't care any more.

Carry concealed.

I stopped by a friends home yesterday to watch the first football game and three of the six guys there had permits for a concealed weapon. Is this more common than I was thinking?

Maybe we were wrong.

The Princeton Longevity Center Medical News. Is Your Low Fat Diet Killing You?

For the past 40 years that has been the mantra for preventing heart disease and staying healthy. We have built entire industries on low fat foods. “Low fat” or “Fat Free!” is now a major food marketing strategy.

But for more than 25% of the adult US population, a low fat diet may actually increase their risk for heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and even some cancers. The accepted wisdom of avoiding fats at all costs may actually be killing you.

Part of the problem is that a “low fat diet” may not properly distinguish between bad fats that you should limit and healthier fats that may actually be beneficial. But there is an even more dangerous way that reducing the fat in your diet can harm your health. It has to do with what you substitute in place of the fat.=snip=

New research is also linking Americans low fat diet to autism, breast cancer and alzheimer.

Results from large, long Women’s Health Initiative Dietary Modification Trial shows no effect on heart disease, breast cancer, colorectal cancer, or weight.

The low-fat, high-starch diet that was the focus of dietary advice during the 1990s-as reflected by the USDA food guide pyramid-is dying out. A growing body of evidence has been pointing to its inadequacy for weight loss or prevention of heart disease and several cancers. The final nail in the coffin comes from an eight-year trial that included almost 49,000 women. Although the media have made much of the “disappointing” results from the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI) Dietary Modification Trial, it would be a serious mistake to use these new findings as reason to load up on sausage, butter, and deep-fried fast food.=snip=

For the last 40 years the majority if not all doctors and government agencies have been pushing the low fat diet and now the same people (Harvard and Princeton school of Medicine) are saying maybe we got it wrong.

And they wonder why we are skeptical about global warming and children vaccinations.

2016 Super Bowl 50.

The host city of San Francisco is now looking at protest on the week of Super Bowl 50. SFPD is now saying that the BLM Bay Bridge was a just a rehearsal for Super Bowl week. The homeless are being pushed out of the city and street venders and artist with permits to sell are not welcome in the "Super Bowl event center" This area is down in the new water front and you need a pass or game ticket to get in.

A new budget report from a city analyst says San Francisco will shell out $4.8 million to host Super Bowl 50 festivities while Santa Clara (home of Levi's Stadium and the game itself) will pay exactly $0.00. According to a San Francisco Business Times report, the Peninsula city's costs are being completely covered by the NFL Host Committee. The revelation has some crying foul, but is it all Monday morning quarterbacking?=snip=

A city council member will be calling for a vote this week to make the mayor renegotiate the NFL deal.

German finance chief floats gasoline tax to pay for migrants.

The European Union has struggled to find common ground amid the influx of people seeking safety and a better life. Germany and Sweden have allowed in large numbers of refugees, while many other countries are reluctant to share the burden.

"If the funds in national budgets and the European budget aren't enough, then let's agree, for example, to raise a levy on every liter of gasoline at a certain level," German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble told the daily Sueddeutsche Zeitung.

"Why not agree this at the European level if the task is so urgent?" Schaeuble asked. "We must secure the Schengen (border-free travel zone) external border now. Solving these problems must not fail because of limited funds."

If not all EU countries are prepared to go along with the idea, he said a "coalition of the willing" could do so.=snip=

This should go over well.

Another Chinese billionaire goes missing.

The billionaire founder of Metersbonwe, one of China's best-known fashion brands, has gone missing, the latest in a series of Chinese business people and financiers apparently ensnared in the country's anti-corruption campaign.
Metersbonwe suspended trading in its shares on the Shenzhen stock exchange on Thursday while the company said it was investigating reports in the Chinese media that Zhou Chengjian, its chairman, had been picked up by police.

The company is a household name on the Chinese high street and Mr Zhou was China's 65th-richest man last year, according to the Hurun Rich list, with a fortune of Rmb26.5bn ($4.01bn).=snip=

Chinese shares tanking again today. Buy gold and a good shotgun.

I find it strange.

when people on the right say that guns don't kill people, people kill people and then they blame the Muslim Religion and not the individual for the violence.

Then I see people on the left who blame the gun for the violence and then say it's not the Muslim Religion it's the individual to blame.

So I say..................

Guns don't kill people. People kill people.

Religions don't kill people. People kill people.

Heads up on travelocity.

Travelocity is taking money for hotels from their customers and not passing the money on to the hotels. I know of two groups this week who have showed up at the hotel and have a reservation in their name but the the payment was never made.
