The Alpha Male.

Alpha male characteristics.

1. Confident.
Alpha males know they are the shit. Whether they are or not to someone else doesn’t really matter. Alpha males believe in themselves and aren’t afraid to show it physically, vocally or through action and thoughts.

2. Competitive.
Alpha males don’t like to lose. They want to win.

3. Have Intangibles (Mentally Tough)
When I say intangibles, I’m talking about the right mentality. Alphas always think they are a winner. Sure they might fail once in awhile, but they get over it really fast and just move on.

4. Alpha Males Have Presence.
But not in the sense that you just get lucky if you’re born fat or tall. You can still look like a beta male if you don’t have presence. Presence is what people turn and look at when an alpha walks in the door. It’s the larger than life figure that stands before you.

5. Have Strong Body Language.
Alphas know what it means to not only be confident but to show confidence. Its all in the body language.

How they stand.
How they walk.
What they look at.
Where there hands are.

6. Walk Like The Shit.
Alpha males have swagger. They have a pep in their step. They don’t walk like an average man. They walk with meaning. They walk like they are in control and know where they are going.

7. Position Themselves.
Alpha males understand something many other people do not, which is that the alpha is always in a powerful position. They also know where to stand in a group setting to be in control.

8. Dominant.
Alpha males take control. They are dominant. They tell people what to do. They are direct. They take over situations when necessary.

9. Take Chances.
Alpha males are risk takers. They don’t stay within their comfort zone. This is why they are seen as elite.

10. Alpha Males Get The Girl.
While beta males are oogling and gaga-ing over girls or making excuses about why they aren’t going to talk to her. An Alpha male steps up and gets the girl. Alphas are not afraid to express their sexuality. They understand their role as a man. They get the girl. And if they don’t get the girl, they’ll try again.

11. Strong Eye Contact.
Alpha males are not afraid to look other people in the eyes. They are not afraid to look at people in general.

12. Aren’t Afraid To Get Physical.
Alphas are okay with touching. This can be as simple as a pat on the back, a firm hand shake or a chest bump.

13. Saying No.
Alpha males have the power to say no. Beta males are afraid of the consequences of saying no. Having the power to say no is one of the most alpha things you can do for yourself.

14. Perseverance.
Above all else, alpha males don’t give up. They work hard. They continue to try until they succeed.

Sounds like someone we know.

First it was the Russians. Now a 15 year old girl.

Breaking : The Hill Report: Girl in Weiner sexting case lied to damage Clinton.

The teenage girl who had exchanged inappropriate text messages with former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) lied about her age and political motivations to harm Hillary Clinton, according to a report by WhoWhatWhy.

The girl was not under the age of 15, as the initial reports said, but nearly 17 when she first reached out to Weiner, the report said. She and her family were also not Clinton supporters, as the girl claimed in a letter published by BuzzFeed, according to social media posts unearthed by the website.

Here is just one DU posts....

Botany (43,697 posts)
9. It was all a big set up ..... the right wing trolled Weiner in order to hurt HRC

And the emails in question that wound up on Weiner's lap top might have
very well been planted by the Russians.

So the great and powerful Hillary Clinton and the DNC were outwitted by a 15 year old girl?

It's Friday.

But Sunday is coming.

Profanity and the left.....

I see this all the time over on DU and more and more here. Camping last summer we had two high school teachers with us and both of them in their 50's dropping the F-bomb all day long. The CNN link blames it on President Trump winning the election but after reading DU for over 5 years I know this is nothing new.

Naples officials expand evacuation zone for volcano.

It begins with a swarm of 1,000 small earthquakes that ripple under the pavements of Naples. Air-conditioning units fall from the sides of buildings and tiles slip from the walls. Inside the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology’s control centre, a bank of screens indicates that the quakes aren’t being generated by the giant Mount Vesuvius, which looms over the city.

These quakes are coming from something far bigger, from one of the largest and most dangerous volcanoes in the world: the Campi Flegrei caldera. Vesuvius, which destroyed the Roman city of Pompeii, incinerating and suffocating thousands, is nothing more than a pimple on the back of the sleeping dragon of Campi Flegrei, an active four-mile-wide sunken volcano. A call is quickly put through to Civil Defence and the Italian Ministry of the Interior: the city must be evacuated immediately.

US has a big navy base in Naples I would think this would be bigger news.

6 of the FBI top 10 most wanted.

6 of the FBI top 10 most wanted were not born in the US.

In the US legally? I don't know...

Aaron Hernandez dies an innocent man.

Aaron Hernandez dies an innocent man:

Judge agrees to throw out former Patriots star's murder conviction because he committed suicide during the appeals process. This means that the former New England Patriots' star has died an innocent man.

Former NFL star Aaron Hernandez's conviction in a 2013 murder will be erased because he died before his appeal was heard, a judge ruled Tuesday.

Judge E. Susan Garsh said a legal doctrine that calls for vacating convictions when a defendant dies before an appeal can be heard was binding precedent. She said she was compelled to follow it.

The former New England Patriots tight end hanged himself in his prison cell last month while serving a life sentence on a first-degree murder conviction in the death of semi-professional football player Odin Lloyd. He died five days after being acquitted in a separate double slaying in 2012.

I don't like this. If he died before his conviction then maybe, but he was convicted of murder.

Happy Sunday.

Watch the woman. She is overflowing with the Holy Spirit. I so want to be more like her.

Peace to you all.

Tim Tebow filling the seats.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Tim Tebow is a big-league hit in the minor leagues.

The Heisman Trophy winner and former NFL quarterback has minor league fans around the Single A South Atlantic League flocking to stadiums and jamming ticket lines to see the Columbia Fireflies outfielder and designated-hitter.

The Hickory Crawdads sold out four games with the Fireflies, its total of 17,500 for the series surpassing the 15,900 they drew their first eight games.

"We had 4,500 people in the stands," Crawdads season ticket holder Christopher Pack said, "and 4,300 were there to see Tim Tebow."

People show up in Tebow's NFL jerseys, and Florida Gator outfits, lining up around the rails in this intimate ballparks trying to get autograph or a selfie with Tebow.

It may be unclear if he will ever get to "The Show," but one is clear: Tebow is the biggest show currently playing Class A ball.

I don't think he will ever make the bigs but he a good kid and I hope he's having fun.

Pro-Life Democrats want back in.

Hi, Bernie.

Thanks for the invitation you put out this week when you said that the Democratic Party needs to “let people in.” We know it’s been a busy campaign, so in case you forgot, here’s what you said:

“(The Democratic Party) can do the right thing and open its doors and welcome into the party people who are prepared to fight for real economic and social change. That is the Democratic Party I want to see, bringing in people who are willing to take on Wall Street, to take on corporate greed, and to take on a fossil fuel industry which is destroying this planet.”

Boy, is that us. We Pro-Life Democrats want to be back in our party. We want our political home again. We want to be let back into the Big Tent to make real, positive changes to this country. We’re concerned about health care. We want to see real economic opportunities that will strengthen families. We want to protect the environment for future generations. We want to move this country forward. We’re ready to fight as Democrats again, if you’ll let us come back home.

There are millions of Pro-Life Democrats. At least 21 million, as a matter of fact, and there are a heck of a lot more Pro-Life voters who would be willing to side with the Democrats if they thought that the issues most important to them could at least be part of the conversation. We could grow the party. You know this; you even said as much:

“Open the doors, let the people in, or the other option for the Democratic Party, which I see as a very sad and tragic option, is to choose to maintain its status quo structure, remain dependent on big money campaign contributions, and be a party with limited participation and limited energy and a party which, incredibly, is allowing a right-wing extremist Republican Party to capture the votes of a majority of working people in this country.”

You’re right. Without us, the Democratic Party will shrink. It already has shrunk. Since 2008, the party has lost 69 House seats, 13 Senate seats, 910 state legislative seats, 30 state legislative chambers, and 11 governorships.

However, there’s an opportunity to turn things around. The GOP is abandoning the Pro-Life movement. Their candidate has advocated for war crimes, he wants to drive down wages for families, and his statements on abortion are incoherent and confusing. Pro-Life voters are looking for a place to go. There’s a real opportunity to turn things around and build a progressive majority.

Let us back in. Let us help rebuild ourparty. Let us help make the future we can all be proud of.

Democrats For Life of America

P.S. If you see Hillary, tell her we’d love to talk to her, too.

This issue is a cancer over on DU. The DNC doesn't want any pro-life democrats in their (big) tent. Money is pouring into DFLA from pro-life groups on the right and Sen. Sanders and others see it.
