The things that are found when moving.

Was emptying the safes and boxing up the firearms and came across an Pre 64 Winchester H&H action I forgot about and was not on the inventory list.

Now, what to build, 375 H&H or maybe a 358 STA? McMillan or Walnut w/checkering?

Its a done deal, New Mexico by spring!

Recieved an offer on my place the week before last that I accepted. The buyers appraisal was accepted yesterday by their lender so we will close August 30th. Somewhat sad as my uncle bought this place in 1967 and was mine and my brothers first home when we came to America.

Anyway, looking forward to living in New Mexico, however the house will not be finished until May but the important things are competed already, the shop and the range. The only thing I will miss about Colorado is easy access to DIA.

The sheer joy of rescuing in Boulder County.

Yesterday while in town I stopped in to see a friend at his shop and he had this what could have been mint condition model 12 in 20 gauge. Not mint because a bubba had shortened the stock in the crudest manner.

After some negotiations I got it home and went to work this morning. A donor piece of wood from another stock, sand paper, a little Tru-oil and a new pad.

Still not a collector grade firearm but best of all it looks great and I now have a great little shotgun that is the correct length of pull for myself. Now to wait for Blue Grouse season to open!
