Live stream SCOTUS pick

Just watch. Big bad news for Clinton and Obama.

This too happened on 9/11....feel good video...all American spirit

For all the videos I've watched on 9/11 and for all the thinking about 9/11
that I've done I never thought about the subject of this video narrated by
Tom Hanks. I seldom cry about anything but THIS...whoa...so moving.
See what you think...12 minutes long:

I think this is an excellent watch that will touch all...last Tuesday at a lunch (before SOTU)
President Trump eerily said that his goal is to unite the country but that it probably
will take a "major event" for that to occur. Unfortunately, PNAC said the same...
paraphrasing that it would take a Pearl Harbor like event for PNAC to come
into fruition (said before 9/11). Just food for thought.

(PNAC...Project for the New American Century...think tank founded by Bill Kristol and Bob Kagan
1997-2006) Just thought about the tweet Bill Kristol sent last week BEFORE the train crashed into
the garbage truck. Going for an adult cocktail now.

Amazon won't post my product review......

I went a bit off topic but buyers beware of shipping problems.
I have spent several thousand dollars on Amazon purchasing
products I'd have to drive sixty miles on way to find...so Amazon
is a huge help. However, the last few orders have been botched
up on way or another. "They" didn't care for my review and I
understand why but I hope Amazon realizes that we have other
choices. This is primarily a rant but I am frustrated.

Here's my review that won't be posted:

The sheets are so soft....gorgeous and I was looking forward to sleeping on them. Thank God I
didn't wash them first...because...whatever. Anyway, they were not the size I ordered. Maybe fit a double
but definitely not queen size. The bed is not new...old really so mattress depth was not the problem. This
was one part of a $225 order. The robot vacuum was not delivered because it was handed off to USPS
by UPS and my driver had too many boxes today so I have to drive and pick it up. I am somewhat
handicapped and it is not easy. I order from Amazon to help, well this is the second time in two weeks
I have either the wrong product or items I have to drive to get. Not happy. WIll rethink my Prime membership.
Many companies offer free shipping today so....will definitely be going to Wayfair or Hayneedle for the sheets.

This is what Amazon said in an email to me:

The Antifa flag

http://www.commonsenseevaluation.com/2017/08/16/antifa-flag-comes-directly-from-the-german-communist-party-in-1932/#sthash.szhrsTfx.LYtTAu7o.dpbs

Everything theses Alt-Left thugs use today is exactly the same as back then. Their logo, weaponized words, double standards and lack of logic. Its all from Germany 85 years ago. They call everyone Nazis because that is who their opposition in Germany was. Antifa prefaced The National Socialist German Workers’ Party and empowered them. Without Antifa’s violence the Nazi party would have never won anything.

Antifaschistische Aktion

The first German movement to call itself Antifaschistische Aktion was proclaimed by the German Communist Party (KPD) in their newspaper Rote Fahne in 1932 and held its first rally in Berlin on 10 July 1932, then capital of the Weimar Republic. During the early 1930s amidst rising tensions between Nazis and the communists, Berlin in particular has been the site of regular and often very violent clashes between the two groups. In May 1932, the communist paramilitary organisation Rotfrontkämpferbund had been banned and, following a skirmish between Nazi and communist members in the parliament, the Antifaschistische Aktion was founded to ensure that the communists had still a militant wing to rival the paramilitary organisations of the Nazis. After the forced dissolution in the wake of the Machtergreifung in 1933, the movement was revived during the 1980s.

Hmmm...more Kathy Griffin...GOP ad with her and the beheading

http://ijr.com/opinion/2017/06/265911-gop-using-kathy-griffin-scandal-tv-ad-georgias-special-election-doozy/?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=Owned&utm_term=ijamerica&utm_campaign=ods&utm_content=Politics

It's only been about 48 hours since liberal comedian Kathy Griffin shocked the world and nuked her own career by holding an effigy of President Trump's severed head in a bizarre photo shoot.

Griffin has since apologized and lost advertisers along with a gig with CNN. But some Republican strategists are banking that Griffin's disaster may be indicative of a broader political liability for Democrats - and they're testing their theory in the competitive special election in Georgia's 6th Congressional district.

The Congressional Leadership Fund, a super pac allied with House Speaker Paul Ryan, released a new TV ad today in the district simply titled “Kathy.” The ad does not mention her by name, but refers to Griffin as a “celebrity Jon Ossoff supporter” and includes images and video of the bizarre photo shoot.

Another unfounded Trump smear on DU:

I am an artic researcher. Donald Trump is deleting my citations.

snip...

In the waning days of 2016 we were warned: save the data. Back up the climate measurements. Archive the maps of America’s worst polluters. Document the education portals that teach students about backyard ecosystems.

Anticipating a massive overhaul by the new administration, scientists around the world sounded the alarm to copy as many files off of government sites before they were altered or removed. As the inauguration neared, hundreds of guerrilla archivists took up the call. From Philadelphia to Toronto, hackers raced against the clock to protect crucial datasets before they disappeared. Volunteers tried tirelessly to save what they could, but the federal government is a massive warehouse of information. Some data was bound to get left behind.

All in all, emails about defunct links of sites that weren’t saved are annoying, but harmless. Finding archived materials to replace them add maybe 20 minutes of internet searches to my day – and a bit of anger at the state of the country.

The consequences of vanishing citations, however, pose a far more serious consequence than website updates. Each defunct page is an effort by the Trump administration to deliberately undermine our ability to make good policy decisions by limiting access to scientific evidence.

-------------------------
I looked up The Arctic Institute and Victoria Herrmann. This research group is a 501(c)3. A private research
group. Not a federal department or agency. It was formed in 2011. Herrmann is the president & managing director with scads of academic credentials. I don't think she is a U.S. citizen.

The crux of the matter is that Victoria is whining about losing data that her institute had obviously given to the U.S. government. Her complaints are on twitter and newspapers have picked up the story which she directly accuses President Trump's administration in deleting the data. IF in fact any data has been deleted (we don;t know if it was ever in gov't docs) the bigger part is: WHY would she blame Trump for deleting what is obviously very important data to her when SHE didn't back it up herself? It's like, oh my, all my citations are lost because of big, bad Trump. FAKE NEWS is my call. She's probably lived off of grants all her adult life. I do not know how The Arctic Institute is funded even though I tried. The institute accepts donations...that's all I could find.
