Democrats now support armed guards in places of worship, but didn't for schools

Boost federal funding to secure houses of worship, prosecute hate crimes, Schumer says

Schumer said the funds could be used to hire trained guards or install heavy doors, cameras, fencing and other security systems.

13 people were shot at a Chicago house party honoring a man killed earlier this year

A Chicago house party devolved into chaos when a dispute led to the shootings of 13 people -- possibly at random, police said.
The 13 victims range from 16 to about 48 years old, said Fred Waller, chief of the Chicago Police Bureau of Patrol.
Four of the victims -- including the 16-year-old -- are hospitalized in critical condition. The other victims are in stable condition, Waller said.

"This incident stemmed from a dispute within that party," Waller said. "This party was given in the memory of a subject that was slain in April. We're still developing details as far as that goes."

I see Lefty is concerned that the Senate trial is rigged, and Schumer demands a "fair" trial

No reason to worry though, I am certain that Senate Republicans will give Trump a fair trial

Jersey City shooting looking more like terrorism; black hebrew Israelite suspect

One of the two suspects who targeted a kosher grocery store in Jersey City, New Jersey, where three people were killed, had a social media page containing anti-Jewish writings, officials and sources said Wednesday.

Four law enforcement sources familiar with the case told NBC New York that the suspects were David Anderson and Francine Graham.

According to three sources, Anderson was a one-time follower of the Black Hebrew Israelite movement and his social media pages include anti-police and anti-Jewish writings. Investigators are looking to see if it was Anderson himself who posted that material.

Inside the van used by Anderson and Graham was a note with religious writings, the three sources said.

1/1024 Native American Elizabeth Warren is the only colored person who has qualified for the next debate. Maybe they lower qualifications for minorities that nobody likes or will vote for the debates in order to represent.

p.s. How are they going to deal with billionaires like Bloomberg who don't have donors so they don't meet that debate threshold?

The November Democratic presidential debate had the smallest audience of the election cycle, which was half the size of the most-watched debate.

More than 6.5 million people tuned in for Wednesday night's debate on MSNBC, according to early Nielsen Media Research. The key 25-54 age demographic comprised 1.6 million of those viewers. Comparatively, October's Democratic debate, which also was one night but had twelve candidates, reached an audience of slightly more than 8.1 million viewers.

Thursday's debate, which took place the same day Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland testified publicly in the House impeachment investigation, had approximately half the audience of September's debate. That debate, which was aired on ABC News, had 12.9 million viewers with 3.5 million in the key demo. This debate was also broadcast on Univision, and they had 1.1 million viewers.

The debate on Thursday featured ten candidates and was moderated by Andrea Mitchell, Ashley Parker, Rachel Maddow, and Kristen Welker. The next debate is scheduled to take place on Dec. 19 at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. It is being put on by PBS NewsHour and Politico.
