He was a collector of military bolt actions from multiple nations and the ammo to shoot them. I wonder if mom knew just how many he had.

In theater, you get what the Army gives you. It wasn't until I got home that I got some choices. I find the 6.5 CM to be magic. Accurate over varying ranges, easy to shoot, and affordable. The bullets are almost like needles, something I have had to get used to. Barrel life is an issue, and I may be looking at a new one for the Savage when accuracy drops off.

My shooting style is still tactical. If I can range a target and get on 12 inch steel on the first shot, I am a happy camper. Not truly Long Range Precision as the game is played today, but good enough for tactical work.
