Welcome...

...to Trump's America...

The unrest is nationwide and growing as is the pandemic. There appears to be no end in sight to the economic, political and social chaos in America as the President disappears. Now is the time I would love to hear some of your predictions on and for our future.

So, what do you think? Where do we go from here? How will this all end? What are you doing personally to cope with this crisis?

...May God Bless America!!

Is the country better off than we were 4 years ago?

The perfect storm.

The Corona virus is alive, well and continuing. 40 million Americans are unemployed and poverty stricken with little hope in sight. Thousands of American small businesses are gone, never to return or employ again. Many cities are now burning as people take to the streets to end wanton police murder of our citizens. Tensions with China are on the rise...and it isn't even June.

This and much more is all occurring under the watchful eye of President Trump.

What do you think?

Is the country better off than we were 4 years ago?

Time for another round of trump corona-check to make us happy!

...I hope everyone is feeling well and good today...I am...

...I just spent all of my $1200 trump corona check on lots and lots of good stuff...wow, now I need some more...

...who's with me?...don't we need another round of trump corona-check to keep the economy rolling?...giving money to small and big business is evil and counter productive...let them earn it by pleasing us...

...isn't America wonderful?...isn't Socialism great?

...and some of us used to say Socialism was bad...can you believe that?

...hang in there...

Are you ready and willing to croak for business?

A Yes or No will do...

...there are many militarily proficient people here on DI...answer me this,

Do we have the technology to have fooled the radar, of the older Russian/Iranian surface to air missile that shot down the Iranian civilian airliner, into believing that airliner was a U.S. military aircraft?

...a simple Yes or No will do...

Why shortwave radio today?

I bought my Panasonic RF 2200 new in the 1970's mainly to hear international broadcasts. Back during the Cold War if you wanted to know how the Soviet Union was responding or reacting to current events you'd tune in to Radio Moscow. Or the BBC for Britain or Radio Beijing, or Radio Havana, etc.

Since the threat of nuclear war was real and omnipresent, keeping up with current events was important. But since the advent of the internet, shortwave radio seems to have lost it's way. It's seems to have become much less important and/or is fizzling out. Today, If you want to know immediately what, let's say Germany is thinking, you'd click on DW.

I was listening to my radio the other day when my grandson asked me about my old radio and what I was doing. I was explaining the history of shortwave when it got me thinking, "What is the importance of shortwave today?" I couldn't answer the question.

If you still listen to shortwave, why? I don't see much there anymore.
