DOJ to Ferguson: Adopt Strategy That Killed Trayvon

There are many flaws with the Department of Justice’s report on policing in Ferguson, Missouri. The most glaring is the report’s use of statistics, but the most egregious, as shall be seen, is the strategy the DOJ recommends to address statistical disparities.

Says the report: “From 2012 to 2014, 85% of people subject to vehicle stops by Ferguson police were African-American; 90% of those who received citations were black; and 93% of people arrested were black. This while 67% of the Ferguson population is black.”

The population of Ferguson was 67 percent black in 2010. If the numbers continued to trend as they had from 2000 to 2010, the city would have been about 73 percent black when Michael Brown was shot in 2014, but that is not the real issue.

In transitional areas like Ferguson, younger white people with children are the first to move. Older families tend to hang on. It is altogether likely that the black percentage in the high-crime cohort of young men aged fifteen to twenty-nine would have been 80 percent or more...............................................

Poll- Specific to HRC- If Hilliary is the Democrat nominee-will you cast a vote for her?

choice #1- No I shall NOT cast a vote
choice #2-Yes I shall cast a vote

seems quite simple.
And this specific poll is only about HRC. Not other candidates who can have their own polls just based on those people.

(and with the two choices, the NO includes voting for someone else, or not voting at all or leaving the office of the President vote blank and voting the other positions

So Yes and No cover every possible situation if HRC is the Democrat nominee

Let's all get it on record, 3/3/2015. I shall start and vote No.

10 Ways to Kick the Police State in the Face

The government claims it has the right take responsibility over every aspect of our lives. They like to make us think that we can’t take care of ourselves, and they love to reassure us that they have everything under control. They tell us what we can have in our food and water, what our kids learn in school, and what constitutes medicine and healthcare. They regulate how our cars and homes should be built, and they dictate the value of our money. They hold a monopoly over the use of violence, and use their courts, police, and spy networks to enforce all of these rules, and many more that too numerous to be mentioned here.

But if there is one thing they must do above all else, they must make you feel small. Regulating every stitch of your life isn’t just an act of vindictive power tripping, it’s also designed create an invasive web of reminders. They want every item you possess, every social interaction you hold dear, and every thought in your head to carry the subtle influence of their deeds, so that you cannot look anywhere without being reminded of the government’s god-like power.

However, not all of us are so easy to fool. We know that our authority figures are mere flesh and blood, and we won’t take their violations sitting down. To celebrate those of us who still refuse to submit, and are always looking for new ways to rebel against our lofty overlords, I’ve decided to compile a list of items you can use to stick it to the man.

They range in price and effectiveness, depending on how far you’re willing to go to protect yourself or make statement (and some may get you into trouble, so tread carefully). So without further ado, below are 10 awesome items you can use to resist the police state.

The Strange Case of Ferguson Witness 40

Easily the strangest of all the documents that have emerged from the Darren Wilson grand jury is the one attributed to Witness 40. These are the pages pulled from her -- I assume her based on writing style -- diary entries from the day Michael Brown was shot, August 9, 2014. She does not appear to have been interviewed. On the face of things, Witness 40 fully corroborates the testimony of Officer Wilson. I leave the grammar uncorrected. “The cop was wobbling,” she wrote from her anxious perch in a silver Pontiac stopped behind Wilson’s car, “the big kid turned and had his arms out with attitude. The cop just stood there dang if that kid didn't start running right at the cop like a football player, head down.” Her take on the final scenario matches not only Wilson’s description, but also the autopsy findings. “I heard cop say something but not sure what or if he was just making noise,” she continued. “Cop took a couple............................

The dissection of this case remains a work in progress at the Treehouse. Given the scrutiny, I would bet that the diary entry is authentic. But given the stakes, I would not rule out fraud.

It would make no sense for the pro-Wilson forces to fabricate a racist eyewitness, but it would make great deal of sense for the anti-Wilson forces -- perhaps those within the DOJ -- to do just that. The Soviets and their spiritual heirs have been manufacturing incendiary racial documents for a century.

Consider the headlines already generated by MSNBC and the Daily Kos. Now imagine their glee if a seemingly pro-Wilson document proved to be a fraud.

Does such vile devious dishonesty exist on the Left in this case? Time will tell and truth will out.

.........................THE HISTORICAL ORIGINS OF AL QAEDA

1. The US has supported Al Qaeda and its affiliated organizations for almost half a centurysince the heyday of the Soviet Afghan war.

2. CIA training camps were set up in Pakistan. In the ten year period from 1982 to 1992, some 35,000 jihadists from 43 Islamic countries were recruited by the CIA to fight in the Afghan jihad.

“Advertisements, paid for from CIA funds, were placed in newspapers and newsletters around the world offering inducements and motivations to join the Jihad.”

3. Since the Reagan Administration, Washington has supported the Islamic terror network.

Ronald Reagan called the terrorists “freedom fighters”. The US supplied weapons to the Islamic brigades. It was all for “a good cause”: fighting the Soviet Union and regime change, leading to the demise of a secular government in Afghanistan.

4. Jihadist textbooks were published by the University of Nebraska. “. “The United States spent millions of dollars to supply Afghan schoolchildren with textbooks filled with violent images and militant Islamic teachings”......................

Family faces $1M medical bill for having a baby on vacation

Vacation can be expensive. So is having a baby. Therefore, having a baby while on vacation is unlikely to be a cheap adventure.

A Canadian couple can tell you all about that. Jennifer Huculak and her husband were vacationing in Hawaii in October of 2013 when she suddenly went into labor, CTV News reports. She was six months pregnant at the time, spent six weeks on bed rest in a Hawaiian hospital and had her daughter nine weeks early. After her baby spent two months in intensive care, Huculak and her husband were happy to take their healthy daughter home. They weren't so happy about the $950,000 medical bill, and they were especially unhappy that their insurance provider refused to cover it.

The dispute centers on whether Huculak had a pre-existing condition that would exclude her early labor costs from coverage. She bought a Blue Cross travel policy before going on vacation, but a letter from Blue Cross, quoted by CTV News, states: "Ms. Huculak was diagnosed and treated for a high-risk pregnancy in the six months prior to departure. As Ms. Huculak is currently hospitalized and being treated for this high-risk pregnancy, any expenses incurred are not eligible under the terms of your policy."

Huculak says her doctor cleared her to travel, and she denies that she had a high-risk pregnancy. Huculak had a bladder infection, but her doctor in Saskatchewan wrote Blue Cross saying it did not cause the early labor, CTV News reports.

Top Dogs, Mad Dogs, Running Dos and Whipped Dogs

I wish I enjoyed anything as much as my dog enjoys everything except for his annual bath.

The whipped dogs of the American electorate, however, have little to be happy about, what with the scarcity of decent-paying jobs, rising prices on every front, crime on the streets and in our homes, with every day bringing us more police brutality.

In trying to locate the cause of such dire problems, Americans point their fingers all about, except in the correct direction toward themselves.

American voter ignorance is at the root of every major problem our country has.

Democratic and Republican voters whimper like the whipped dogs they are when voting in our fixed national elections, never realizing how pathetic they are being with their arrogant ignorance.................................

Big Mac's & minimum wage

So as to give some perspective, I’m going to ask readers for their guesses about human behavior before explaining my embarrassment by some of my fellow economists.

Suppose the prices of ladies jewelry rose by 100 percent. What would you predict would happen to sales? What about a 25 or 50 percent price increase? I’m going to guess that the average person would predict that sales would fall.

Would you make the same prediction about auto sales if cars’ prices rose by 100 percent or 25 or 50 percent? Suppose that you’re the CEO of General Motors and your sales manager tells you the company could increase auto sales by advertising a 100 percent or 50 percent price increase. I’m guessing that you’d fire the sales manager for both lunacy and incompetency.

Let’s try one more. What would you predict would happen to housing sales if prices rose by 50 percent? I’m guessing you’d predict a decline in sales. You say, “OK, Williams, you’re really trying our patience with these obvious questions. What’s your point?”

It turns out that there’s a law in economics known as the first fundamental law of demand, to which there are no known real-world exceptions. The law states that the higher the price of something the less people will take of it and vice versa. Another way of stating this very simple law is: There exists a price whereby people can be induced to take more of something, and there exists a price whereby people will take less of something.

Mr Williams boner mistake here is his assumption of a perfect market (a huge number of buyers & sellers all too small to affect pricing) is the real market.

Where the minimum wage to rise abruptly to $15/hr (at public corporations)what would be the immediate effect on the price of a Big Mac? Turns out that the cost of covering the pay raise would be about a 17% bump in the price of the burger- aka $0.75. Would that cause a gent earning $100K per year who likes Big Macs to buy fewer? Probably not. Indeed folks at the minimum wage might even buy a few more. Would there be an incentive for the business to cull its very worst workers and to look into ways to automate some functions? Of course but such is there already and is not a bad thing in any case.

Bus Driver Organizes Black Mob Violence Against White Family

Some stories you have to read 10 times before deciding: ’Yes: What I thought was too crazy is really true.’

This is one of those stories. Here goes, believe it or not:

A bus driver organized a mob of 20 people to assault a family of three on her bus, which they did with gusto and pepper spray. All the while, the other passengers hooted and hollered in encouragement.

All while the bus driver waited for the beating to finish so the attackers could get back on the bus. With her thanks.
